Olive is the symbol of the Mediterranean Sea. Cultivated in all the countries that overlook this sea, they are distinguished mainly by their colour.
Essential in the Mediterranean diet, are used both as an aperitif, and to enrich the dishes of our cuisine. Many are, in fact, the recipes that require them.
In the Desiderio selection you can find the paté d’olive, with its typical dark colour due to the use of black olives. The olives are placed for a period in brine, then washed, chopped and seasoned with extra virgin olive oil Desiderio. The pate is then packaged in glass jars that preserve its particular taste.
This pâté is excellent as an aperitif, spread on croutons.
